SACRAMENTO REGION, CA (MPG) - Cosumnes River College (CRC) sophomore Kalani Hernandez earned California Community College Fastpitch Coaches Association (CCCFCA) Player of the Week honors on March 31.

Hernandez was a force at the plate for the week beginning March 24, hitting safely in eight of her 11 at-bats. The sophomore catcher drove in six runs while scoring six after reaching base nearly 82% of the time.

Hernandez helped the Hawks to key wins over Butte College on March 26, and No. 14 San Joaquin Delta College on March 29.

Hernandez is pacing the Cosumnes River offense with a .398 batting average. To date, Hernandez has seven doubles on the season.
